The meeting began at exactly 9:30am with two pastors in attendance, together with the team that had accompanied the facilitator SE Aggrey Ayiro. Time keeping has been observed as a challenge for many of them, right from the onset of the engagement seminars. The meeting however began on time as a way of setting the standard and providing the correct pattern.
Additional pastors and secondary leaders arrived bringing the total to about 17 by noon. These were 6 pastors who have been tracking from the first day of the CGE seminars, four secondary leaders from the hosting church and 7 congress members who accompanied the facilitator. The massive presence of God was evident in the meeting and there were visible deep inner transactions by the participants, observed in their asking of questions and seeking for direction on various challenges faced in their churches. Despite some technical challenges such as power loss, their level of concentration was maintained and they were clearly determined to track up to the finish.
The areas covered were: The administration of apostolic grace, Building a culture and vision in the church and principles for developing leadership. It was notable that one of the greatest challenge that the pastors are struggling with is lack of vision and the inability to delegate. This is what informed the revisiting of these teachings.
A short documentary on the journey of Kingdom Life Centre, one of the core churches in East African region became a bench mark for the pastors on some key values like delegation and provided patterns to illustrate what had been shared. This enabled teaching from an authentic and not a Pharisee position. The leaders were evidently challenged and resolved to implement this in their churches.
The meeting ended at 4:30 PM with the pastors recommitting themselves to the course and purposing to track, committing themselves to attending the future meetings. God just it again and it is marvelous in our eyes!
