The Sunday community gathering on the 29th of July 2018 was marked by celebration and thanksgiving to God for the successful trip by the Hebron Educational Centre students to and from the 2018 East African Convention. This year’s team consisted of 15 students, 4 sponsors, one guest student, 3 facilitators being former participants, 2 judges and 7 members of staff. The school had six entries in music, 11 entries in platforms, 1 entry in photography, 7 entries in track events and 6 entries in Art.
The students received a total of 32 medals being 19 gold, 3 silver and 10 bronze as well as one trophy for the platform events.
The whole experience was loaded with many lessons and was quite eye opening on the opportunities available for future collaboration and external partnerships. Dr Peter Okeno who is one of the instructors and was also judging the music performances at the convention encouraged the KLC community members to continue the support and for more to be available in the mentorship and development of the students.
